The Marshal’s Office of the Podkarpackie Region in Rzeszów (hereinafter referred to as “the Office”) has created the regional tourism portal podkarpackie.eu funded by the regional budget.

The location of the building in the center of Rzeszów allows for access by public transportation or the use of publicly accessible parking lots, including parking zones with dedicated spaces for people with disabilities.

To reach the main office of the Marshal’s Office of the Podkarpackie Region from Aleja Piłsudskiego, you can take buses 2, 3, 7, 14, 30, 33, 34, 36, and from Aleja Cieplińskiego, you can take buses 0, 2, 3, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 18, 23, 26, 28, 30, 34, 35, 36, 38, 45, 58, 59.

The building has a main entrance from Aleja Łukasza Cieplińskiego, appropriately paved with the required width marked as Entrance A, while Entrance B is located at the back of the building.

The entrances are at sidewalk level and allow for easy access with wheelchairs, strollers, or luggage.

The doors to the government building open automatically.

Behind the main automatic doors, there is a vestibule with sufficient maneuvering space. Straight ahead, there are glass doors with handles and self-closers, opening outward, leading to the main lobby. The doors are within the sight of the porter, who can provide assistance to those entering.

In the parking lot on Aleja Łukasza Cieplińskiego, designated and marked parking spaces are reserved for people with disabilities.

The street curbs are integrated, allowing wheelchair access for individuals with disabilities, as well as for those with strollers or luggage.

  1. In the lobby, the porter’s lodge is located on the left side of the main entrance. To obtain assistance, please approach the porter’s lodge staff. There is an induction loop at the porter’s lodge.
  2. In the lobby, an accessible toilet for people with disabilities is located on the right side of the main entrance, behind the stairs.
  3. On the left side of the porter’s lodge, there is a Stakeholder Service Point designed for everyone, especially those with diverse needs.
  4. The General Office is located on the left side of the main entrance to the government building, behind the porter’s lodge.
  5. On the right side of the entrance, there is an information board displaying the layout of the rooms in the office and an information kiosk showing the distribution of important points in the lobby.
  6. The corridors in the building allow for easy movement of wheelchair users. The surfaces of internal stairs and walkways are made of non-slip materials, ensuring safety.
  7. There are two elevators in the building equipped with an audio, visual, and Braille system, suitable for transporting people with mobility difficulties.
  8. Accessible toilets are available on each floor of the building.
  9. On the high ground floor, a person with a disability can access it using electrically powered platforms installed near the stairs at the low ground floor level in the lobby.
  10. Access is provided to a person with an assistance dog or a guide dog to the building and all its premises.
  11. The conference room is equipped with an infrared (IR) system that supports hearing through headphones.
  12. There is an evacuation chair in the building.
  13. There are no Braille markings in the building (except in the elevators) or contrast markings or enlarged print for blind and visually impaired individuals.
  14. There is no tactile or voice information about the layout of the rooms in the building.

At the main entrance to the Office (A) from Aleja Cieplińskiego and in the main lobby, there are Totupoint markers providing information on how to navigate through the main lobby.

On the right side of the main entrance (A), there is a simple tactile map informing about the most important points in the main lobby of the Office.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals can make use of an on-demand sign language interpreter service when conducting their affairs through a dedicated website.

This service is provided through the participation of a sign language interpreter when handling matters for a petitioner of the Marshal’s Office of the Podkarpackie Region who requires this type of service.

To avail this service, the stakeholder should provide information about this need by:

  • Submitting a completed registration form at the General Office located at Aleja Łukasza Cieplińskiego 4, at least three working days before the planned date of handling the matter (except for urgent situations), between Monday and Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM,
  • Completing the registration form electronically and sending it to the email address: urzad@podkarpackie.pl, at least three working days before the planned date of handling the matter (except for urgent situations),
  • Sending the completed registration form by fax to: (17) 850 17 01,
  • Sending a photo of the completed form via SMS to the number: 609 702 711.
  • Contacting the employee directly through the dedicated website.

The registrations will be confirmed by the employees of the Organizational section of the Department of Organizational and Legal Affairs, who are responsible for ensuring proper assistance for individuals experiencing permanent or temporary communication difficulties in their contacts with the regional self-government authorities. An employee of the Marshal’s Office of the Podkarpackie Region will contact the stakeholder to confirm the provision of this service.
